Events across Gauteng

The chef comes to you

Not a tray dropped at the door. A Wa Zen chef sets up at your venue and cooks in front of your guests for the length of the function.

How it works

First time booking an event?

You don’t need to know what to ask for. Tell us roughly what you have in mind and Tony takes it from there, helping you shape the menu around your guests and the day.

  1. Build your quote

Pick the experience, the date, the starting time and how many guests, and give the address. Add any extras and say if the food must be halal or vegan. The price shows as you go.

  2. Send it on WhatsApp

It goes straight to Tony. You talk it through in that chat — the menu, the venue, the time — and he puts the final quote together.

  3. Confirm the booking

Once you and Tony have agreed the menu and the price, your date is booked.

  4. Enjoy the day

The chef arrives with everything, sets up, makes the food in front of your guests and cleans up afterwards.

Good to know

  • At least 12 guests (8 children for a kids' party). You can bring fewer; the quote is then priced at the minimum.
  • Halal or vegan? Choose it in the quote, and Tony plans the menu around it.
  • Dry ice is optional, at R350, but highly recommended: when the temperature rises, sushi can spoil.
  • Travel anywhere in Gauteng is R300. Display fridges and plates and bowls can be hired.
